Understanding how to provide quality support to disabled consumers is important to any business.
Eurostar have shown a real commitment to understanding the needs of all passengers including those with disabilities. Using interactive training sessions delivered by one of the United Kingdoms leading Disability Consultants, as a disabled person himself
Richard is able to offer a wealth of experience and knowledge to the Eurostar team.
Richard Shakespeare and his team of experts are working with Eurostar ahead of the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic games to ensure that their staff have the confidence and knowledge to ensure you receive the highest level of service.
Our team have recently provided additional consultancy and advice to the team at Eurostar International and continue to have a strong working relationship with this client.
Richard Shakespeare and his team are proud to be working with SSE to support their staff in having the confidence and knowledge to provide quality support to their customers.
We have worked with SSE to gain an understanding of their business and to support their overall strategy for vulnerable customers.
Richard and his team have worked with Experian to asses the customer journey for consumers with a disability and have produced a report on their findings.
We have been working alongside East Midlands Trains to examine how they support passengers with a disability.
Our team undertook some side by side observations with the Passenger Assistance Team based in the East Midlands Trains head office and also undertook a number of mystery shopper journey across many major stations including Nottingham, Norwich, Crewe and East Midlands Parkway.
Upon completion we produced a detailed report on our findings and continue to work with senior managers and staff in various different areas of the business.
Recently we have also provided consultancy advice to East Midlands Trains on the redevelopment of Nottingham station.
Richard and his team are proud to be supporting the Government and members of the Department for Work and Pensions with the Disability Confident Campaign. Launched in July 2013 by Prime Minister David Cameron Disability Confident is about helping businesses to understand the value that people with a disability can bring to the economy and increasing awareness.
During 2014 Richard and his team will be attending a number of regional conferences across the country. Richard is due to be a keynote speaker in Scotland on the subject of disability in support of this Government initiative.
Richard Shakespeare has provided a mystery visit facility and some disability awareness training for the Novotel Hotel Group. Assessing a hotel or other leisure facility for its accessibility is key to ensuring your clients have an enjoyable experience.
The University of Derby achieved it’s university status in 1992, they can however trace their links back to 1851, when the site in Derby was a Diocesan Institution for Training,
As a former student at the University of Derby it has been a pleasure for Richard Shakespeare and the team to return and work with the staff. We are currently providing both mental health awareness and disability awareness training to the university.
During 2012 we have worked with academic and support staff at the main campus on Kedleston Road, we are looking forward to providing further training during 2013 and will be working at both the Derby and Buxton campuses.
We have had the pleasure of working with the team at Else Solicitors for a number of years. During the past two years we have provided both disability awareness and mental health courses to key staff members.
We also work on a number of other projects with Chris Else and the team including our seminars and awareness workshops.
Red Z Design
Having an up to date Equality and Diversity policy which all members of staff felt they had input into was important for Red Z Design. The team at Richard Shakespeare spent time talking to the staff to understand the business and most importantly to understand the Red Z culture.
Once our team had met with senior staff members and discussed their needs we were able to create and implement a equality and diversity policy which works for the business.
We provided mental health awareness training to some of the care staff from Right at Home Derby.
Making your staff aware of mental health issues and how to support a customer or staff member with a mental health condition makes good business sense.
